My Dearest Bangladeshi Angelinos
Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles (BUFLA) is observing the alarming rise in COVID city, state and nation-wide. As you all know, BUFLA has skipped the parade for the years 2020 and 2021. We hoped that 2022 will bring us an opportunity to do the parade on the streets of Los Angeles to show our Bangladeshi pride. With the very high transmission rate of the Omicron variant, that hope seems to be at zeopardy at this moment. Governor Newsom hopes that the transmission rate will recede by the end of this month or beginning of February.
BUFLA Executive Committee and Officials will observe the situation, take the advisement of the City and State Health Officials; and decide in mid-February whether or not to do the parade on March 26th and 27th of 2022. BUFLA hopes and prays that all Bangladeshi Angelinos remain safe and get fully vaccinated in the meantime; and takes necessary precautions.
